Yep, another podcast and a smattering of hopefully inspirational music await you, just below.
This podcast I am entitling, Tender Tenacity, a phrase borrowed from Roshi Joan Halifax.
It is a rambler—the tiny podcast, not Roshi—and blessings to you and yours for attempting.

And the weather!
And the soft, soft temperatures!
The peepers are out.
The birds are back.
The birds.
In celebration of and gratitude for the return of spring, here is the best of songs, and it clearly has been a long, cold, lonely winter.
~~~
And along with spring comes Passover! It’s a holiday that brings ancient memories………
The seder
With relatives
That never ended……
The fabulous flavors….
Matzoh ball soup…
The family…..
The love.
It almost brought out the best in us, briefly, of course, a refuge from our work-a-day -world.
Yiddish was a language my grandmothers would weave into their English. My mom would slip into a Yiddish phrase here and there, usually to quietly demonstrate displeasure with something. I always felt a loss, that this language of the people, of my people, of heart and gut, wasn’t mine.
Yet it is mine—it lives in me so deeply.
This lovely, lovely gift from the National Yiddish Theater Folksbeine tickled me, and the children.
The children!
“As we begin Passover and we remember all that was lost in the past year, we hope this video titled Regnboygn will bring a light of positivity for the days to come.
The National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene found new and exciting avenues to bring Yiddish theatre and culture to new audiences all over the world. No matter what the future will bring, the Folksbiene will continue to be with you, bringing our mission of celebrating Yiddish culture through the performing arts to life.”
A Regnboygn (A Rainbow)
Written by Mike Menachem Fox, from the Folksbiene’s children’s show Kids and Yiddish
Video created by Elisha Mlotek
Directed by Joanne H. Borts
Featuring 18 children, some of whom are members of the Children’s Choir from Tzipporei Shalom of Congregation Beth Shalom in Teaneck, NJ, whose conductors are Cantor Ronit Wolff Hanan and Adina Avery-Grossman.
And now—the podcast you didn’t know you were waiting for–Tender Tenacity Tiny Podcast #2
~~~
How are you feeling about going back to “your life”? I know people who are headed to Disney World and others who are not ready to leave their homes. Here we are, again, finding ourselves, locating ourselves in the spectrum of self-care.
For each of us, it is an individual and wild journey.
Please do consider joining me for a mindful inquiry into this transition from shut down/lockdown to…..to what? To this next moment in our world.
To me, to you, to us, all of us, to our world, reborn, reclaimed.
Through connection, meditation, mindful presence, and journaling, we will build a retreat weekend out of our hearts and our experience, our strength, our tender hope.
Please consider joining our zoom real-time retreat.

Dear Friends,
So much to celebrate—
The buds
The trees
The birds
Coming alive.
Freedom from bondage,
The bondage of lockdown
And
Hopefully
Freedom from
The bondage of isolation.
So much to celebrate.
Be safe and well
No matter what
You are given.
In gratitude,
In possibility,
In hope,
Aruni
