Eventually and Inevitably…

05/26/2024 by Aruni

Eventually and Inevitably…

Sometimes it just sucks.

Sometimes it feels too hard.
Too much.
Too scary.
Too dense
Of feelings
To
Imagine
Even
Transversing.

Sometimes
I am not okay.

Today I was not okay.
I can’t bear repeating the circumstances.
Okay, I will, short version:
Suffice to say, it involves a heart monitor and an injured knee.
I’m not okay with this.
And—it’s happening.

And you know what?
Eventually
And
Absolutely,

Fully
And
Totally
Inevitably,
Everything will be okay.

The greater trauma,
The wider a door opens
To renewal,
To rebirth,
To possibility.

I DO NOT SAY any of this to take away our feelings.
Oh, no, dear friends.
It isn’t that simple.
Premature transcendence isn’t the doorway home.
It is an exit out of the healing pathway.

I say this to give us
The courage
And
The
Willingness
To keep going.

It will always work out.
Always.
No matter the heartbreak.
The loss,
The disappointment.

We will find our way.
We are finding our way.
This is
What
It
Looks like
To find our way.

This is what it looks like
To become whole.
~~~
Eventually =
in the end, especially after a long time or a lot of effort and problems.
Inevitably =
certain to happen; unavoidable.
~~~
Today I was not okay
But/and,
I could see the blessings around me.

Today I was not okay
But/and,
By nighttime
Life felt softer.

Today I was not okay,
But/and
Everything really is alright.
~~~
The blessings and the burdens,
They dance together.
They morph and merge,
They shift and change.
They are each other’s
Flip sides.
Each is half of the experience.
When together, we become whole.
~~~
Maybe it’s not so much about changing the circumstances?
Maybe it’s not about charging forward on the horse named
The Illusion of Control?

Maybe it’s about—
Relaxing.
Letting it come.
Letting it go.

OH!  I know.
Like—
On the yoga mat.
~~~
Thanks to Susan J. for this song—
Here’s Jelly Roll, singer, rapper, songwriter with a strange stage name.  Actually, I find his name more delicious than the name Meat Loaf.  I always thought of the name, Meat Loaf (the person not the food) with an ugh.
Here’s Jelly Roll from the finale of The Voice.
Check out the lyrics!!
“I’m Not Okay but Everything’s Going to be Alright
I’m not okay, but it’s all gonna be alright/It’s not OK, but we’re all gonna be alright.”
~~~
Dear Friends,

With blessings and prayer
May we walk our human path.
May we soften and relax.

May we breathe into
The
Grace
That lives inside
And out.

May all beings benefit from
Our shared words.

Deep bow,
Aruni
