Let It Be
Hi, Folks.
I’ve just returned from a Civil Rights Pilgrimage.
I journeyed to Selma,
To Burmingham
And
To
Montgomery,
Alabama.
Of all places.
I hoped
To tell you about
My experiences.
Yet no words,
Quite yet,
Are available
To me.
Time for my integration,
Of sights and sounds,
Of information.
Time is needed,
For settling,
For softening.
So—
I looked into my grab-bag
Of recorded
Past meditations.
I must tell you—
I am super-critical of my meditations.
Listening to them—sometimes
Occurs
As
Ouchy.
Sometimes
Hum,
Not
Bad.
Very randomly
And infrequently
Is it a big enough
Yes
To warrant
Re-sharing.
I like this one!
I like this one very much.
I’m not sure why
But here it is.
Check this out.
~~~
Letting it be
Does not
Imply
Passivity.
It is an
Aggressively
Spiritual
Posture
For practice.
To be present
With what is,
To allow it
To be,
And from
That place
Of
Energetic
And
Spiritual
Neutrality,
To take
Right action.
Indeed,
This
Truly
Is
An active
Spiritual practice.
When linked
With kind action,
All
Possibilities
Emerge.
And who knew?
Dolly Parton has a new album and from that album, a new single, Let It Be. Guess who she recruited to record the song with her? Yes, you guessed it, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. So, if Paul and Ringo sanctioned this, well, that’s good enough a recommendation for this kid-of-the-sixties, lover-of-all-things-Beatles:
~~~
Dear Friends,
Give us
The courage
And the
Willingness
And
The
Strength
To pause.
Give us the courage
And the willingness
And
The
Strength
To stop.
To hold
The posture.
The rest
Into the moment.
If only for a breath.
If only for a fraction
Of
A
Breath.
Help us
To
Let
It
Be.
And from
That place,
To take
Kind
And
Gentle
Action.
Help us
To practice.
May the words we share here
Benefit all beings.
Blessings, Aruni
