The Invitation

It’s a quiet moment
Over here.
Tucked
Inside
My
Heart,
Things
Are
Quiet.
Sitting inside
This moment.
Right here,
Right now.
Nothing much
To do.
Nowhere
Really
To
Go.
Acknowledging
The fragility
Of this
Aging
Body.
Feeling her.
Living
Into
Her.
Allowing
Her
To be
Exactly
Where
She
Is.
Yet…
Right next door
Breathes
Her
Resounding
Resilience.
Alive
And
Present,
But not
Right now.
Now is—
Quiet.
Right
Now
Is
Tender.
Right
Now
Is
Fragile
And
Resilient.
It’s all true!
Heartbroken
And
Whole.
Robust
And
Broken.
Fully living
And
Resting
Deeply
Inside.
All true—
All parts,
All sacred.
All
True.
All
Parts.
All
Sacred.

When I took Kripalu Yoga Teacher Training, we talked so much about using language based in invitation.
To invite people in,
To welcome them,
To meet the participants
Where we are.
Here is a giant and glorious bigger-than-life-invitation—
Oriah Mountain Dreamer, sharing with us her Invitation:
~~~
What spoke most clearly
To your heart?
What invitation most
Resonated
Inside
Your
Belly?
~~~
Dear Friends,
One step,
One breath,
One
Moment
At
A
Time.
That is all
Life asks.
Stay blessed,
Aruni
