My Newest Prayer Practice
This blog post is also available on my Facebook page to make sharing it with friends and family easy for you to do.
I have amended it to address my bigger life,
and
the day I sit within,
and
and the specific moment:
For the life I have been given—
I am grateful.
For all of what was.
For what is,
During this day,
Right here
Right now.
And
For
This
Moment—
I am forever grateful.
~~~
For the people I have been given—
I am grateful.
For all of what was.
For what is, in this day.
And
Right here,
Right now,
In
This
Moment—
I am grateful.
~~~
For the opportunities
To grow,
For the life events
That take me
Closer
To
Who
I
Really am—
I am grateful.
For all of what was.
For what is, in this day.
And
Here,
Right here,
In
This
Moment—
I am grateful.
~~~
And for my open heart.
For a heart willing to serve.
To be there
For others—
I am grateful.
For all of what was.
For what is, in this day.
Right here
And
Right now.
And
For
This
Moment—
I am grateful.
Gratitude is a profound practice.
We know it literally alters the chemistry of the brain.
To focus on what is, rather than what isn’t, to look at the past, at the current day, and at the present moment through the lens of gratitude, invites an environment of positivity and grace.
I do believe.
Here is a meditation I recorded in 2020, Look for the Beauty, Look for the Grace.
I hope there is something for you, some phrase, some thought, some moment, that will support your travels with yourself.
This is a song that I resonate so deeply with, now, then, and probably always.
I am always awash with feelings of connection and comfort when I hear it.
Here’s George with probably one of life’s best songs:
Dear Friends,
May the connection,
The solace,
The
Healing
We are given
Benefit
All
Beings.
For
Our
Individual
Hearts—
And
For
Our
Collective
Community.
With gratitude,
