Life is strange. So are our bodies. Lucy, in this moment, is doing better than I am. She is shocked at the reduced amount of food she is receiving and really can’t believe her walks are so abbreviated.
Obviously the abdominal bleed has clotted. Dogs are known to rally with this condition. We just know that another bleed is inevitable.
She is living our reality. What’s going to kill us probably does already exist inside our bodies. Lucy’s is simply more specifically defined and perhaps, time-bound.
The practice for me: to keep out of denial. To stay in gratitude.
Ras and I are profoundly touched by your support. Keep your prayers coming.
See Lucy being right here, right now.
See her people relaxing.
See trust emerging.
